Typically, methanol isn't found in high traces of grain-based spirits, it's more prevalent in grape fermentations. Even so, the best way to deal with abnormal methanol levels in spirits comes down to controlled distillation. At Casa, our distillers use distillation controls, heads and tails management, and batch testing to all pull in the same direction: safer, more consistent spirits.
Managing the heads and tails of a distillation run matters most of all, because it directly shapes what ends up in the final spirit. Pair that careful cut with batch testing, and you get products that don’t just clear the safety bar — they hold onto the flavour our partners and customers actually came for.
